Gianluca Dingli, of the Virtu Ferries BRM Racing, is the winner of the 2009 Trofeo Pista del Lago 250cc series in Sicily.

In his last outing in Palermo, Dingli qualified third in pole position and finished second in the race to acquire the points needed to secure the title.

Besides the Virtu Ferries sponsorship, Dingli was also assisted by team manager Mario Lena and Chevron Auto Dealer.

He intends to race in the 2009 Sicily Championship.
