Two dogs beaten and dumped in Ħal Far skip
The police are investigating a man suspected of having beaten up his son's two dogs before dumping them in a skip in Ħal Far last Sunday.
Sources said the two dogs were discovered by Birżebbuġa police officers after a tip-off about the animals inside the skip. They found the dogs in two bags. The animals were badly injured, one of them with deep wounds to its head.
The police called the animal ambulance, operated by Noah's Ark, which took the dogs under its care.
Sources close to the investigations said there were a number of eyewitnesses who saw a man hitting the dogs before dumping them in the skip close to the Ħal Far open centre.
When contacted, a spokesman for Noah's Ark confirmed the dogs were under its care. He said the dogs were still suffering from the trauma and were scared of anyone who approached them. In fact, they were being patiently hand-fed.

what is going on ? another one..... lets hope that this monster gets caught and SOON - shame that the eye witnesses did not stop this barbaric criminal poor excuse of a man from beating and throwing the poor babies into a skip! I would have been like a bull seeing red and he would have ended up in the skip from my sheer will to stop him! lets hope the police and justice system can catch him and give him a very harsh sentance which is what he derserves!!!!

What a monster !! But sadly we keep hearing these horror stories only because we have no harsh penalties and so this goes on and on. The people who saw this scum doing this act are an accomplice. Why did they stand by and watch? How could they? But of course these were only dogs were'nt they? How very sad !!!

this person should have the crap kicked out of him as the law will not do anything about this sort of thing ,this moron can beat an animal up but hasn"t guts to take on someone of his own size.hope to God he gets far worse than he dished out . call for prison sentences for this savagery

Believe me if it was the other way round, action will be taken immediately and the dogs will be put down but in this situation most probably this idiot will end up just paying some sort of fine of about €50.00 or nothing !!!!! Is-soltu storja!!

You mean these just stood by and let it happen? I am only a woman, but had i been present I would probably have intervened (and got a punch or 2 I guess!) What kind of low life is this person? Probably 1 who knows he will only get a suspended sentence.....

I wish we have the law,s like some countries so you give him 1000 lashes so he feel what those poor dogs felt he should be sent to jail for a very long time so it serves a lesson to other cruel animals like him you can,t call him a human.

Scum - that's the right word. However, jail is too kind for them. Alas, it seems that there is no harsher punishment in this country.

We can't keep going on like this!! something needs to be done and the law should change. Scum like this belongs in jail.

Now what? This pathetic creature (i will not call him a human being) will get a "suspended sentence" and a measly fine leaving two of God's finest creations scarred and marred for life.
