Joseph Brincat, 22 of Senglea, this morning pleaded guilty to committing a hold-up on a 69-year-old man in Paola yesterday afternoon.

The court was told that the man stole €15 from the man while holding him at knife point.

Mr Brincat told the court: "I would like to plead guilty but please give me a last chance to change my life," adding that he had a drug problem.

He will be sentenced on Tuesday.
