A Bulgarian national has been remanded in custody after he allegedly threatened to kill the Maltese boyfriend of his former girlfriend.
Damyanov Yordan Ivanov, 36, who is resident in Sliema, threatened to kill the Maltese man in an incident in St Julians on Wednesday.
Inspector Trevor Micallef said that yesterday, the word 'Kill' was found on the door of the Maltese man's residence. While he was at the residence to investigate, Mr Ivanov phoned the Maltese man and again threatened to kill him. The inspector said he had heard the phone call.
The accused pleaded not guilty.
