Former Commonwealth champion boxer Scott Dixon, 33, today pleaded not guilty to conspiring to import and traffic cannabis and being in possession of the drug.

Mr Dixon, who was extradited from London on Tuesday, used to work in St Julians and was brought to Malta on the strength of a European Arrest Warrant in connection with investigations into a major cannabis find in St Julians on September 8.

He was remanded in custody.
