Gospel Choir for Manoel Theatre show

Gospel music comes to the fore at the Manoel Theatre on October 17 and 18 when Animae Gospel Choir presents two concerts which promise to be a first for the theatre.

The choir, grouping Maltese singers, was formed by Glen Vella, Leontine and Pamela just over a year ago, starting with only nine members together with a keyboardist. The upcoming concert will see the introduction of nine other well known singers and a seven-piece band made up of some of the best session musicians on the island.

There will be guest performances by Chiara and Ivan from Wintermoods.

The Animae Gospel Choir performs regularly in local churches but has prepared a special 90-minute programme of pop, soul and gospel style music for the concert, featuring songs from great artistes such as Michael Jackson, Anastacia and Zucchero amongst others.
