The Valletta Waterfront will be converted into a haven for youth today as 22 organisations kick start more than 60 different activities for National Youth Week.
The activities, which run until Sunday, are geared to celebrate and demonstrate the talent and energy of young people, Youth Parliamentary Secretary Clyde Puli said.
More than 300 students will be attending and everyone is being encouraged to take part in the activities that range from discussions on voluntary work and the role of youths in society, to sports, seminars, workshops and adventure games.
A number of shows have been scheduled including concerts by established bands such as Skimmed, Footprints and Airport Impressions. Also of interest will be hip-hop and break-dance demonstrations.
Scout groups will be organising adventure games, including camping, bridge building and rafting. Mr Puli encouraged all youths to attend and take part in the activities.
