A man and a woman today pleaded not guilty in the Gozo courts to having broken into and stolen from several cars in Qala and also having stolen a cash register from a shop in Xaghra with €300 inside and a number of plants.

The cases allegedly happened yesterday.

Patrick Mangion, 36, of Qormi also denied assaulting police at Victoria police station. He was remanded in police custody.

Carmela Camilleri, 38, of Gharghur was granted bail against a personal guarantee of €5,000.
