This year’s Summer League, organised by the Malta Scrabble Club, was played out between the months of June and August.
As the league progressed, the pool of 28 participants gradually split into three groups.
Group A was won by reigning champion Theresa Brousson who got the better of Jojo Delia in the final. Third place went to David Delicata who outdid Sammy Mangion in a tight contest.
In Group B, veteran Mario Camilleri emerged on top with Paul Mifsud and Kevin Abela following behind in second and third.
Paul Frendo claimed the honours in Group C while Carmen Bonello finished in second place and Albert Zammit third.
Meanwhile, the club’s two latest one-day tournaments, held in September, were characterised with straight ‘white-wash’ wins by Charles Micallef and Mario Saliba.
