A Portuguese frigate and a German Navy logistics support ship will be visiting Malta between today and October 12 as part of a Nato programme of port visits.

The visit of the NRP Álvares Cabral, flying the flag of Rear Admiral José Domingos Pereira da Cunha and the FGS Rhoen is aimed at increase friendship and understanding between NATO and Malta now that the island is back in the Partnership for Peace programme, the Portuguese embassy said..
