MaltaPost confirmed today that a number of postal articles were stolen by unknown person/s during the course of delivery in St. Paul's Bay a few days ago.

The company said the items were intended for addresses in: Triq il-Lampuka, Triq ic-Caghaq, Triq Patri Felic Sammut, Triq il-Kahli, Triq l-Arznell, Triq l-Ghabex, Triq iz-Zernieq, Triq C.Tanti, Triq il- Mistrieh, Triq il-Gifen, Triq l-Ibhra, Triq Pader Born, Triq il-Hatab, Triq il-Gwiebi, Triq il- Hgejjeg, Triq Damasku, Misrah il-Bajja and Triq il-Pijunieri in St. Paul's Bay.

"The incident was reported to the Police and to the Malta Communications Authority for them to take action which is deemed appropriate in terms of law. The police are currently investigating the case," MaltaPost said, while apologising for the incident.

The Times reported today that the mail was in a postwoman's private car, which was stolen.
