I refer to the article entitled Call For Morning-after Pill For Rape Victims (September 17) regarding the decision taken by the National Youth Parliament.

As the leader of the “party”, it was my job to present the motion in Parliament. This does not mean I agreed with everything it contained. In fact, the entire resolution was based on the majority concept.

Personally, I believe that life is to be safeguarded from its initial stages, and thus do not agree with the morning-after pill. However, I had to consent due to the fact that I was in the minority. Nevertheless, I am sure that if better research had been carried out, there could have been a good probability that the resolution would have read otherwise.
