Germany's players will be able to train on the artificial Luzhniki pitch as much as they want ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Russia, the stadium chief said.

"We're obliged to provide an away team with one training session on the eve of the match," Vladimir Alyoshin told reporters ahead of the top-of-the-table European Group Four clash at the 84,000-seat Luzhniki arena.

"We're not bureaucrats. Football rules and fair play should prevail over any restrictions.

"If the Germans tell us they need two days to prepare for the match they will get two days; if they say they want three days they can have three."

Germany lead Russia by a point and will clinch a place in next year's finals in South Africa with a win in Moscow on Saturday.
