Marriages

Jeremy Castillo and Pernilla, married at St Patrick's church, Sliema, on September 12. After 11 years of civil marriage the couple celebrated their church marriage, witnessed by Ian and Martina Castillo. A reception was held at The Palace hotel, Sliema.

Obituary

BONNICI. On September 26, JOSEPH, passed peacefully away. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Pauline, his sons Mark and Peter, their wives and grandchildren, his sisters Doris and Marghret, their husbands and families, his brother Lino, his wife and family, and Maria, widow of his brother Henry and family, his brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday at 2 p.m. for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BUTTIGIEG. On October 1, at St Vincent de Paul residence, CHARLES (former director of Public Lotto), of Sannat, Gozo, aged 84, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Louise, née Portelli, his children Miriam and her husband Manuel Sammut, Edwin and his wife Louise, Sylvana and her husband David D'Amico, his grandchildren, their respective families and friends, his brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral took place yesterday. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CARUANA. On October 3, MARY née Scerri, widow of Walter, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Jacqueline and her husband Louis Busuttil, Marian, widow of Joe Paris, Henry and his wife Rosanna, and Joan, other relatives and friends. The funeral Mass will be said at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. The family would like to thank the management and staff of Casa Arkati, Mosta, for their dedication and loving care. GRIXTI. On October 2, INEZ née Pisani, widow of Paul, of Balzan, aged 89, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Paul and his wife Mary, Joseph and his wife Doris and Vivienne and her husband Paul Demajo, her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Balzan parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at Balzan cemetery.The family would like to thank all the staff of Casa Arkati and Surgical Ward 1 at Mater Dei Hospital for their kind support.
