Manchester United's U-18 squad are to hold a training camp in Malta later this month.
Sources have told The Times that officials from the Manchester United Academy have been in touch with Hibernians FC to organise a one-week training camp for their U-18 players at Corradino.
Hibs, who this season appointed Mick Wild as head coach of their nursery on a full-time basis, have reportedly given United the green light to use the Hibs Ground for training sessions in the final week of October.
The Manchester United Supporters' Club in Malta are being kept abreast of all developments relating to the visit of the Old Trafford club's U-18 squad.
Earlier this year, Alex Ferguson, the Manchester United manager, and club stalwarts Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes, visited Malta to take part in the MUSC's 50th anniversary celebrations.
United's youth squad, led by coach Paul McGuinness, are expected to fly to Malta on October 25, the day the senior team will make the short trip to Anfield for the crunch Premier League clash against rivals Liverpool.
United are renowned for their strong emphasis on youth development. A host of talanted youngsters already form part of Ferguson's squad, the likes of Johnny Evans, Darren Gibson, the Da Silva twins, Danny Welbeck and Federico Macheda.
