A hotel that has been operating for 30 years has filed an application in court to try and stop another hotel from using a similar name.
The owners of San Pawl Hotel in St Paul’s Bay claimed that the recent use of the name St Paul’s Bay Hotel by KS Catering Ltd had created confusion among its customers and suppliers and it had evidence to back its claim.
Calling on the court to decide if their rights had been breached and to order the new hotel to stop operating under the name St Paul’s Bay Hotel, San Pawl Hotel said it had been using the same name for 30 years and had the trademark to prove it.
