Ħamrun Spartans midfielder Manolito Micallef and Jorge Febles Mora, the Birkirkara goalkeeper, have been hit with a two-match ban for their misdemeanours at the end of Saturday's Premier League match which the Stripes won 2-1.
Micallef was sent off by referee Silvio Tanti after he appeared to push Mora in an off-the-ball incident. Birkirkara's Spanish goalkeeper escaped punishment then but he was suspended for two games yesterday after being reported for hurling the ball at Ħamrun defender Roderick Fenech in the action that triggered a skirmish between players from both teams.
The two-match ban means that Micallef, who missed last night's game against Hibernians, is also ineligible for Sunday's game against Floriana, his former team.
Mora has been ruled out of Birkirkara's matches against Dingli Swallows, tomorrow, and against champions Hibs on October 18.
