Judge, two magistrates sworn in
Magistrate Michael Mallia was sworn in as Judge and lawyers Claire Stafrace Zammit and Gabriella Vella took their oath of office as magistrates during a ceremony presided over by President George Abela on Tuesday.
Mr Justice Mallia will substitute Mr Justice Joseph D. Camilleri who will be retiring. His place in the Magistrates' Court will be filled by one of the two new magistrates and the other was appointed because of the increase in the work load at the courts.
