A Briton who headbutted a man breaking his nose during an argument was given a suspended sentence yesterday.
Jason Craske, 38, who lives in Għargħur admitted in court that he headbutted James Kelly and broke his nose during an argument on Monday at about midnight in a bar in Buġibba.
Defence lawyer Shazoo Ghaznavi told the court his client regretted the incident and had apologised to Mr Kelly. Senior Police Inspector Paul Bond, prosecuting, confirmed this and added that Mr Craske had also paid Mr Kelly's medical bills.
Magistrate Silvio Meli then handed down a six-months jail term suspended for two years.
Lawyer Chris Cardona also appeared for Mr Craske.
