KSU's Freshers' Week

A new academic year is at our doors bringing with it a good number of students entering the University for the first time.

This year, the National Commission for Higher Education (NCHE) will join the numerous stands during Freshers' Week, organised by the University Students' Council (KSU) at the University of Malta. The stand provides students with information on the latest developments in further and higher education in Malta, student funding opportunities and how, why and when students can and should spend some time abroad.

NCHE is committed to the promotion of more and better further and higher education to empower all students with knowledge and skills for their future and has just released two publications to provide students with the information they need at the start of the new academic year.

The first publication is a booklet titled Guide To Financial Support Schemes For Maltese Students In Further And Higher Education and covers all available funding schemes for students to follow a variety of courses at different education institutions in Malta or abroad.

The second is a leaflet explaining the basics of the Erasmus Mundus Programme and the benefits of joint master and doctorate scholarships. All this information and much more is also available on the NCHE website at www.nche.gov.mt.

NCHE staff will be on campus to answer any questions related to starting one's experience at University. Students are invited to find answers to their questions and visit the NCHE stand until next Tuesday and collect a copy of the new funding guide and other information leaflets available!
