St George's were off to a flier in the Division One Knock-Out when they defeated Mqabba at the Victor Tedesco Stadium yesterday.
Joey Falzon's side netted twice in the first half and added a third after the interval to wrap up a convincing victory.
St George's took just eight minutes to break the stalemate when Glenn Bonello unleashed a powerful shot from outside the area that flew between Kris Calleja's hands and into the net.
The Mqabba custodian made up for such a mistake on 16 minutes when he rushed out to block Chris Ciappara.
But Calleja could not do much on 28 minutes when Ewurum was put through by Ciappara to slot the ball home.
Mqabba tried to get back in the game in the second half with John Paul Muscat shooting just wide from inside the area on 69 minutes.
But St George's sealed the issue on 83 minutes when substite Josef Dalli sprinted into the Mqabba area to slot the ball home.

Mosta 1
Marsaxlokk 4
Marsaxlokk showed that with the squad they've got they won't stay long playing at the second tier of Maltese football with a resounding victory over Mosta.
Having kept most of their players which graced Premiership football, Patrick Curmi's side were a cut above their opponents.
The southerners immediately showed their intentions and forged ahead after only six minutes when defender Emil Yanchev rose well to head home a Martin Deanov cross.
Mosta soon hit back and equalised seven minutes later when Adrian Borg met Julian Vella's corner and head the ball home.
But Marsaxlokk soon regained their lead when Deanov beat Debono with an angled drive.
On 25 minutes Dylan Kokkavessis beat two defenders and fired a low shot past Debono to make it 3-1.
On 53 minutes Malcolm Licari turned well but shot over after some fine work from Deanov.
Marsaxlokk kept up the tempo and six minutes from time Roderick Bajada hit a scorcher that flew past Debono and into the net.
