Migrants who are resident at the Hal Far open centre this morning carried out a clean-up around the camp in an initiative coordinated by the open centre authorities and Zurrieq local council.

There are some 600 migrants at Hal Far camp.

A similar event was held at Marsa some weeks ago.

The clean-ups are to become regular events.
