October is a month dedicated to our Holy Mother, the Virgin Mary, the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are living in difficult times, in a world plagued by conflicts, hatred and sorrow. So many families are facing so many killings of their innocent children. Our Lady in her apparitions is giving us messages to make a U-turn from the style of materialistic life we are living and turn to God, our Creator who sent his only begotten Son to save us from sin by his death on the cross.
We need to strengthen our families by means of prayers, we need to bring Jesus Christ again within the four walls of our homes. We need to make Him the head of our homes, the unseen guest at every meal, and the silent listener to our conversation. The Virgin Mary is urging us and all mankind to recite the Holy Rosary, which is a prayer of contemplation. "The mysteries of the Rosary are like windows through which we turn our thoughts and see clearly the word of God" (Pope John Paul II).
It is a fact that nowadays the word "peace" is becoming rare and therefore we have no time to communicate with each other as we rendered time as so limited for dialogue. Joy and unity will only reign in our homes when there is true and sincere love. Love and peace are a gift of God, and can only be attained by prayer. Our Holy Mother, the Virgin Mary, is telling us, "If you seek peace, pardon and finally salvation, say the Rosary daily".
"The family that prays together, stays together."
