Woman conditionally discharged for insulting constable
Stephania Grech, 37, of Zabbar, was conditionally discharged for two years this afternoon after she admitted in court to having insulted a police officer at Zabbar police station on Friday night.
Ms Grech had been accused of swearing at a woman police constable and disobeying her orders.
Police Inspector Fabian Fleri told the court that Ms Grech remained arrogant even when told that her words may land her before a magistrate.
Ms Grech was given a conditional discharge after the court considered that she had a clean police conduct sheet.

what about police insulting us citizens...isn't every man created equal...once i had to go to the sliema police station and the police sergeant started shouting at me and treated me like a dog basically..sit there ..stay quiet etc..so when we respond then we go to jail after being provocated...lets face it many police in malta act all macho and think you are their servant instead of a citizen they should treat with respect.

Another disrespectful sentence towards our Police Force and the risky job they perform. Sentences like these make it even more dangerous.

Whilst the article is very limited on the situation which brought this argument, again this is a situation where I question the sentence.
Does that mean I can go around and insult public officers only to be tapped? In that case we're as usual witnessing too much leniency...

I was once insulted by a policewoman - what would happen if I report it?
