A concert of Italian classical melodies - themed Anema e Core - will take place next Friday at St John's Cavalier, Valletta in aid of St Patrick's Salesian School.

Living at home with our loved ones is something that most of us take for granted but some children and young people are deprived of such needs. Their desire for a home and a constant caring person has to be lived through their imagination.

The Salesians of Don Bosco at St Patrick's Salesian School, together with numerous workers, volunteers and collaborators, are committed to follow Don Bosco's mission and provide a home and decent living for over 100 children and young boys.

However, nothing in life comes for free; there is a price to be paid. Through the help of so many good and generous benefactors, the Salesians provide the less fortunate with basic necessities, however what they receive is never enough. Suffice it to mention the new home they have opened in Senglea and the innovative concepts in youth hospitality they endeavour to introduce in the already-established homes to make their boys more comfortable in a virtual family environment.

The fund-raising concert, to be held under the auspices of Umberto di Capua, Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, will feature soprano Lydia Caruana accompanied on the pianoforte by Elizabeth Leonardi.

The concert will be followed by a buffet dinner including typical delicacies donated by the Ambasciata delle Virgne of the Sicilian region.

In addition, a number of prizes to attractive destinations will be drawn.

Reservations can be made through St Patrick's School (tel. 2133 4617/2133 6600) by noon on Monday. A contribution of €50 per person all inclusive is solicited.
