Community Chest Fund to hold Charity Run
President to join in run from San Anton to Valletta palace
The Community Chest Fund has announced the holding of The President’s Charity Run, as another new fund-raising event.
Mrs Margaret Abela, chairman of the Fund, said the run was another initiative following the successful holding of Rockestra earlier this month.
The charity run will be held on December 6 and participants will run from San Anton Palace to the Palace in Valletta. It will be open to everyone.
President Abela, a keen jogger himself, invited people from all ages and sector, to join him and Mrs Abela, in the event.
There will also be a shorter run, starting from Casa Leoni in Sta Venera, for those who prefer.
The run will be co-organised with the Malta Amateur Athletics Association. It will be supported by Banif Bank.
An application form is to be posted on www.l-istrina.org and application forms will also be available from Banif branches, the association and the Health Department.
