Parents today are faced with a variety of difficulties when dealing with the day-to-day challenges life has to offer. Be it pressure of work or household chores, parents seem to be having less and less time for themselves. Add children to the equation and the situation becomes all the more complicated.
Many children today are simply not getting the chance to be physically active.
The alarmingly high rate of obese children in our country is testimony to that.
With this in mind, Renzo Kerr-Cumbo and Ivan Woods, both B. Ed (Hons) graduates in Physical Education have come up with the idea of FFF Kids (Fun Fit Friends).
The philosophy behind FFF Kids is to offer children, between the ages of five and eight, the opportunity to have fun in a safe, professional and educative environment.
They believe that from a young age, children should be given the opportunity to experience as many different sports activities as possible.
Furthermore, Woods, a national football player, and Kerr-Cumbo, a national handball player, feel very strongly about getting children more physically active and this is why they have come up with this programme.
