Go customers were unable to make use of their e-mail accounts yesterday until yesterday evening.

The telecommunications company said an operational outage had affected its services, including any other domains it hosted.

"The outage was in no way related to any problem in Go's international or local connectivity but was the result of a software problem that affected the delivery of e-mails," it said.

"Go would like to state that at no point during this outage was outgoing e-mail affected," the company said, apologising for the inconvenience caused.
