Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a father-of-two was shot dead at his front door, police said.

Amran Khan, 29, from Oldham, Greater Manchester was gunned down in what is believed to be a gang-related attack, when he opened his door on hearing a disturbance.

The men are being held in police custody on suspicion of shooting Mr Khan, who lived on Nugget Street.

Three bullets were fired at the victim on Friday evening and one hit him fatally in the chest, police said.

He later died at the Royal Oldham Hospital, leaving behind a wife and two young daughters, aged one and four years old.
