Chelsea continued their all-conquering start to the season when they beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 at Stamford Bridge today to make it six English Premier League wins out of six.

Tottenham, without a victory at Stamford Bridge for almost 20 years, had the best of the first half hour but fell behind after 32 minutes when Ashley Cole stooped to head in a low cross from Didier Drogba.

After Spurs had a Robbie Keane penalty claim turned down Michael Ballack bundled in Chelsea's second on 58 minutes and Drogba got the third five minutes later before going off injured.

The win kept Chelsea clear at the top with a maximum 18 points. Champions Manchester United have 15 after beating Manchester City 4-3 earlier on Sunday. City, Spurs, Liverpool and Aston Villa all have 12.
