A 45-year-old man from Birkirkara and a 24-year-old woman from Qormi were arrested in separate incidents at a vehicle checkpoint mounted by the AFM last night. The AFM said the roadblock was mounted in Mosta by soldiers from 1 Regiment's 'C' (Special Duties) Company.

The Birkirkara man was found to be carrying cocaine while the woman was arrested a short after while later carrying cannabis.

The police are holding further investigations.
