Coming up

• The Padre Pio prayer groups of Gozo will gather at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces in Victoria to celebrate the liturgical feast of their founder saint on Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. There will be the recital of the rosary, followed by concelebrated Mass, led by Fr Diego Theuma, OFM Cap, Father Guardian of Xemxija.

To mark the occasion, the groups will present a donation to Fr Spiro Galea, OFM Cap, to help the Capuchin Missions in Kenya. Devotees are invited to attend.

• Independence Day will be celebrated on Friday at 6.30pm at Independence Square, Victoria.

The National and Regional Celebrations Committee within the Gozo Ministry will host a concert by the Symphonic Band of the Armed Forces of Malta, under the direction of Mro Ivan Borg.

• An exhibition of photos by Clare Borg at the Banca Giuratale, Victoria, is open daily between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon. The exhibition is open until Sunday.

• The Fine Art and Sculpture exhibition at the Citadella Centre for Arts and Crafts, is open from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The exhibition remains open until October 4.
