A drug dealer found with heroin worth £6.5 million was jailed for 23 years yesterday, police said.
Wayne Wright, 43, from Bourne-mouth, Dorset, had admitted conspiracy to supply the drug. He was first arrested in Septem-ber last year and found with £160,000 in cash stuffed in the boot of his car.
The following month, he was caught with 125 kilograms of high purity heroin at Fleet Services in Hampshire.
According to the Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca), the drug was worth £6.5 million. Two other men were also jailed at Kingston Crown Court yesterday for conspiracy to supply heroin.
Edison Turay, 34, from Tulse Hill, south London, was sen-tenced to 12 years and Leonard Sylvester Morgan, 40, from Hendon, north London, was jailed for 18 years.
They met up with Mr Wright and collected four kilograms of the drug, a spokesman for Soca said.
Detective Inspector Grant Johnson said: "All three of these men have previous convictions for serious drugs offences, and we are pleased that this has been reflected in today's sentencing.
"We will not tolerate the use and supply of Class A drugs and we continue to tackle any organised criminal networks involved in this highly illegal activity."
