As a regular visitor to Gozo, especially Xlendi Bay, I make it a point not to miss the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and also attend the water sports held in the afternoon at the bay. These, especially the greasy pole, attract many people, whether Maltese or visitors, and there is good business.

Alas, for many it was a surprise that this year none of the sports activities were held.
