The planning authority board yesterday overturned a request by the owners of Villa Barbaro, in Tarxien, to extend a buffer zone to the surrounding buildings. Owner, Chief Justice Emeritus J.J. Cremona argued that the Grade 1 villa was not adequately protected and called for a height limitation on the buildings in the area. However, the planning authority board said the request was not practical and rejected it.
