Msida St Joseph and Ħamrun Spartans have been promoted to the BOV Premier League replacing Vittoriosa Stars and Marsaxlokk who will be playing in the BOV First Division and the Maltco Lotteries First Division Knock-Out. This decision was taken yesterday during a Malta Football Association council meeting.
The council also voted in favour of resuming the BOV Premier League on the weekend of September 25-27 with the third round of the matches that were originally drawn for September 14-16.
The programme of matches will be shifted by two weeks with no break for Christmas and the New Year as originally planned.
The Maltco Lotteries First Division Knock-Out will kick-off next Sunday while the matches that were due to be played tomorrow will be played on October 24. The BOV First Division will start as scheduled.
