AQUILINA. On September 15, at St Vincent de Paul residence, EMANUEL of Siġġiewi, residing at Żebbuġ, aged 82, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved children Maryrose and her husband Rosario Bonnici, Emma and her husband Joe Camilleri, Carmen, widow of Ronald Tonna, Francis and his wife Catherine, Mario and his wife Catherine, his grandchildren, his brother and sister, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 3.30 p.m. for St Nicholas parish church, Siġġiewi, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m., followed by interment at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Siġġiewi. FAVA. On September 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, Sr MADDALENA (Gioele) of the Sisters of Charity, aged 87, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity, her sister, Sr Bernadette, also a Sister of Charity, her brother Lino and his wife Maria, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.30 a.m. for the convent of the Sisters of Charity, 55, Birbal Street, Balzan, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. at the chapel of the convent, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. GIORGIO. On September 14, Yvonne, aged 79, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Francis Xavier, her sister Marie-Elena and her husband Geoffrey Robinson, Herbert and his wife Penelope, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. for St Gregory the Great parish church, Sliema, where Mass will be said at 8.45 a.m. followed by internment at Qalb ta' Ġesù cemetery in Żebbuġ. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Sisters, Sliema, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MIFSUD. On September 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, REMO, aged 51, passed away suddenly, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his beloved only daughter Rachel and her husband James Grech. He is also deeply mourned by his treasured parents Marie Louise and Antoine Mifsud, his devoted partner Dr Roberta Borg Costanzi and her children Michael, Kristina and Sue, his sisters Marie Therese and Alfred Polin, Lucienne and Alexander Goertz, his brother Joseph and Jackie, his nieces Kyra and Gloria, uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws and numerous colleagues and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday at 8.45 a.m. for St Julians parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.15 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. ZAMMIT BRIFFA. On September 15, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, PHILIP, aged 73, passed away peacefully, after a short illness bravely endured, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his wife Carol, née MacCallum, his brothers George and his wife Maryanne, Edward and his wife Helena, his sister Jofy and her husband Herbert Mainzer, his brother-in-law Desmond and Rosemarie, his nephews and nieces and their children and his many friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. at Balzan parish church, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to The Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Being the trigesima die of GEORGE W. SAMUEL's demise, a Mass for the repose of his soul will be said tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the Millennium chapel, Paceville. The presence of relatives and friends will be appreciated.
