Tom Jones performing in Malta in November
Tom Jones, renowned for a stream of classic chart-toppers like Sex Bomb and It's Not Unusual, will be perform at the MFCC in Ta' Qali on November 15 during a live concert organised by NnG Promotions.
Tom Jones, a renowned sex symbol, who has maintained an impressive global fan base through some four decades of music, is expected to sing a selection of his greatest hits.
The Tom Jones concert comes right after another two mega summer events organised by NnG, featuring three international singers: Joseph Calleja, Michael Bolton and Laura Pausini.
NnG Promotions have organised a number of large-scale entertainment events in the recent past including concerts by Roger Waters, Brian Adams, Sting, Elton John, Eros Ramazzotti and Duran Duran.
"Feedback we received from local music-lovers and concert-goers indicates that there is still a big appetite for more international artistes. Tom Jones will kick off the winter and Christmas activities with a fun-filled evening," NnG representative Nigel Camilleri said.
"Tom Jones transcends generations. He has been churning out hits since the launch of his first album in the sixties and hasn't stopped since then. His latest album, 24 Hours, is actually being described by critics as his best one to date," Mr Camilleri said.
With sales of records in excess of 100 million, Tom Jones is considered one of the great performers of both the 20th and 21st centuries and is widely recognised as one of the godfathers of modern soul. His latest tour has proven to be as full of energy as his previous ones with critics praising a repertoire that takes the audience on a musical bonanza ranging from the 60's to the present.
Tickets can be purchased online from www.nngpromotions.com or alternatively from Agenda Bookshops, Exotique, Bookends and Newskiosk. Ticket prices start from €35.

I do wish I could be in Malta for Tom Jones' concert. I'm not coming over again until the beginning of December. He was interviewed on UK television a few months ago, BBC Breakfast, and came across as a very ordinary person with no airs or graces whatsoever - just a really nice chap. It is the best interview I have seen for a long time.
