A €100,000 flood relief project in Pembroke will be completed in the coming weeks, the Resources Ministry said today.

It said culverts have been built in the lower areas of Pembroke to channel rainwater which flows from Madliena and Ibrag. The water will flow to a gallery underneath Mediterranean Street.

The ministry thanked residents of the streets involved for their cooperation and said it was confident that the project would substantially reduce the inconvenience and damage which rainwater caused in the area.
