Banif Bank has opened a branch in Naxxar, its seventh in 20 months.

The branch was inaugurated by President George Abela, who congratulated the bank for its contribution to the economy and its corporate social responsibility.

Dr Abela said the Maltese financial sector was continuing to grow and he urged operators to continue to seek areas of activity to further exploit the potential of this industry.

Those present included Banif Bank Malta president Joseph Sammut and Naxxar Mayor Maria Deguara.
