Toyota Formula One driver Jarno Trulli raised €300,000 ($438,100) at a charity auction at the Italian Grand Prix for victims of the April earthquake in Italy's Abruzzo region.

Toyota said teams and drivers had donated items, with one of Trulli's helmets selling for €40,000 at the Saturday night auction.

Trulli had already raised €150,000 from an earlier charity football match and through web donations.

Another auction is scheduled for the Singapore GP later this month.
