Abramovich: Chelsea have denied suggestions that billionaire owner Roman Abramovich collapsed in an attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro after experiencing breathing problems. Chelsea yesterday insisted that Abramovich did not require medical attention and denied that their former interim coach Guus Hiddink was in the expedition.

Rosicky comeback: Arsene Wenger is adamant that he will not be pushed into rushing Tomas Rosicky back into the first team. The 28-year-old has endured a nightmare spell on the sidelines due to ongoing problems with his hamstring. However, the Czech Republic international made his first Premier League appearance for 18 months when he came off the bench during the 4-2 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.

Kalou: Salomon Kalou has refused to reveal whether he plans to sign a new contract at Chelsea. "We have to wait and see what happens," Kalou, whose current deal is set to expire next summer, told skysports.com. "I am relaxed. My contract this season is important as I need to be playing football and play well for my country. Having teams interested in me shows I am doing well, so let's wait and see."

Scotland coach: George Burley believes he should already have been told whether failure to qualify for the 2010 World Cup will cost him his job as Scotland manager. Burley, whose contract runs until 2012, will meet the Scottish FA this week to decide whether he will continue in the role. The SFA wants to hear Burley's views on how he intends to develop the national team before deciding on his future.
