Obituary

BERNARD. On September 11, MARY FELICITY (JOY) née Micallef Eynaud, widow of the late Dr Paul, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her sons Albert, Anthony and his wife Antonella, her daughters Marie Therese and Eddie, Madeleine, Marguerite and her husband Marcel, Marianne and her husband Chris, Claire and her husband Nick, her sister Marigold and her husband Vincent, in-laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. The funeral Mass praesente cadavere will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, today at 2 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.

CIANCIO. On September 13, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, ALBERT, chairman of Ciancio (1913) Co. Ltd, aged 79, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved and devoted wife Marie Louise, née Sciberras, his dearest children Mario and his wife Christine and Stefania and her husband Daniel De Bono, his beloved grandchildren Matthew and Francesca, Miguel and Karla, his nieces and nephews, family and friends. The funeral leaves St James Hospital tomorrow at 8.45 a.m. for St Julian’s parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.15 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar San Ġużepp, St Venera, will be appreciated. The family wish to thank the doctors and all the nursing staff at the hospital for their kind and devoted care.

FARRUGIA. On September 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMEN, known as Nini, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss Gemma, widow of her late brother Frans, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.30 a.m. for St Anthony church, Birkirkara where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.15 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GRIMA. On September 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY ROSE of Vittoriosa, aged 69, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Victor, her children Paul and his wife Alexandra, Joseph and his wife Marthese, her grandchildren Luca, Francesco, Julia, Sephora and Matthew, her brothers Charles and his wife Carmen, Joseph and his wife Ċettina, her sisters Jane and Sister Gioconda of the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, her sisters-in-law Lora and Sister Giorgina of the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, her nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Lawrence parish church, Vittoriosa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at St Lawrence Cemetery, Vittoriosa. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved daughters Miriam and her husband Albert, Anne and her husband Joseph, Odette, Jacqueline and her husband Anthony, Albert widower of his daughter Josephine, his sons Anthony and his wife Ingrid, John and his wife Doris, Edwin and his wife Marisa, and Manuel, his grandchildren Stephanie, Audrey, Nicola, Wilfred, Conrad, Stefan, Sara, Maria, Mariella, Daniel, Christian, Annabelle, Antoine, Priscilla, Claudia, Roberta, Natasha, Vanessa, Pedro, Michaela, and their spouses, his sisters Yvonne and Lolly, and Arlette; his brothers and sisters at the Neo Cathecumenical fifth community. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30 p.m. for St Francis church, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment in the family vault at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Gluten-free food

A gluten-free food exhibition is being organised by the Coeliac Association Malta as part of a three-day conference at the Hotel Intercontinental in St Julians. The exhibition will be open to members of the food and catering industry today between 11.30 a.m. and noon and from 3.30 p.m. to 4.45 p.m. exclusively for members of the association.
