A group of junior shooters from the Malta Shooting Sport Federation (MSSF) last weekend took part in the first International Junior Shotgun Cup, held in Sabbia d'Oro, Venice.

In skeet, Clive Farrugia hit a straight in the fifth round for a total of 114, an ISSF minimum qualifyng standard.

Farrugia, who returned scores of 23, 21, 23 and 22 in the first four rounds, finished 16th out of 35 competitors.

Ian Grima, making his maiden appearance in an international competition, obtained 95 points (22, 20,15,19 and 19).

In Double Trap, Nathan Lee Xuereb managed a total of 87 points.
