Aaron Ciantar retained the Powerboats P1 Supersport championship today when his boat, the Maltese-built Ukrainian Spirit (Seagull Chaudron) achieved the necessary points by coming second in the grand prix in Sicily.

This was Ciantar's second championship in as many years.

Ciantar drives the boat with Italian Angelo Tedeschi (throttle) and navigator Viktor Shemchuk.

The Sicilian race was the final round of the Powerboat P1 championship.

The season kicked off in Malta earlier this year.

Parliamentary Secretary for sport Clyde Puli congratulated Ciantar for repeating his feat. The Labour Party also sent its congratulations.
