Fabrizio Runza, 25 and Simone Abela, 18, both of Hamrun, were granted bail this afternoon after having been accused in court of assaulting and resisting the police.

The court was told that the incident happened when they were allegedly stopped because their car had defective. lighting. They refused to give their partiiculars to the police. Two policemen were slightly injured.

Bail was granted against a personal guarantee of €5,000 each and a deposit of €250.
