Clint Micallef 19 of Siggiewi was remanded in custody this afternoon after pleading not guilty in court to having driven dangerously with the intent to kill Raymond Agius in Siggiewi Square on Friday evening and seriously injuring him.

The court was told that Mr Micallef's cousin had been involved in an argument and he had tried to scare him but had not intended to kill him.

The defence also pointed out that Mr Micallef had sought to help Mr Agius after the incident.

In another case, Andrew Richard 22 and Stephen Liam Moran 25, were granted bail after they denied having forced entry into an apartment in St Julian's and stealing €3,000 in cash, a computer and 120 packets of cigarettes to the detriment of Anthony Camilleri.
