Malta junior champion Colette Sultana is playing in the Nordic Junior Open in Malmo, Sweden, this weekend.
The tournament, Sultana's first ranking tournament in Europe for the new season, comes at the end of an intensive build-up in pre-season.
She was recently in Halifax, England, for a training camp also attended by top British juniors.
Training was under the guidance of Paul Hornsby, England Squash Level 4 elite coach, and Lee Beachill, a former world no.1 player.
Twenty-four players, including four of the top-10 ranked juniors in Europe, will compete in the U-15 girls category at the Nordic Junior Open, making this a very challenging event for Sultana, currently no.30 in Europe in the U-15 age group.
She is hoping for a favourable draw to improve her chances of progressing from the first round and possibly achieve a top-10 placing in Malmo.
Sultana is a member of the MOC Centre of Excellence and is receiving support through the MOC Youth Athlete Scheme, Malta Squash and the Marsa Sports Club. She is sponsored by Wilson and coached by Paul Lake.
