Notts County eye Mifsud

Notts County are set to seal another major coup by signing Michael Mifsud, skysports.com has reported.

The Maltese international is a free-agent after leaving Coventry City at the end of last season.

The 28-year-old has had approaches from a host of clubs both in England and on the continent. Among them were Turkish club Ankaragucu and Greek side Larissa as well as Sheffield United, Leeds and Charlton.

Notts County recently signed Sol Campbell and Kasper Schmeichel.
