A court this afternoon provisionally upheld a request for a warrant of prohibitory injunction requested by the Commissioner of Inland Revenue against Mambra Electronics Ltd and Joseph Pavia.

The Commissioner requested the court to issue the warrant to prohibit the sale or transfer of a villa at Sta Marija Estate since the company owed the IR Department €456,965 in income tax. Mr Pavia also owed the department €12,600 in FSS payments since January.

The case will be be heard on Monday.
